Looking for an iObeya alternative for your plant?

iObeya gives every team a digital wall to draw on. Some plants want exactly that. Others find that the wall fills up with cards nobody owns, and that the problem from this morning's huddle never reached the area manager. That is a different need, and a different kind of tool.

Below: both tools side by side, from each vendor's own pages, and when each is the better fit. We make TeamGuru, so check our column against a demo.

Side by side

The iObeya column is what iObeya's own pricing, product and help pages say on October 30, 2026. "Not described" means we did not find it there, not that it is missing.

iObeya TeamGuru
What it is A digital Obeya platform: visual rooms and boards for operational excellence at enterprise scale. An operations platform: X-Matrix, tier meetings, actions, KPIs and escalation as connected modules.
Tier meetings Tiered stand-ups on linked tier boards, from the line to site leadership. Agendas, attendance and minutes are not described on its daily management page. Standard agenda with a timer and minutes per item, attendance per person (present, excused, absent) with a yearly rate, and the meeting's own action list.
Escalation Manual, from board to board, with admin-defined escalation types and an in-app notification. A KPI threshold breach raises a signal to capture an issue. Manual: an action goes to named people or groups, or along timed levels that move up on their own if nobody responds, by email or SMS.
KPIs and data SQCDP letters on the Tier 1 board. Excel and CSV import, and named connectors for Jira, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, SAP, Power BI and others. SQDIP board with your own letters, color coding against target with a tolerance, roll-ups from team to site. Data through the API, CSV import or by hand; no native ERP connector.
Strategy deployment An X-Matrix can be built on the platform as a board. X-Matrix as a module, with Strategic Plan and Pillars views, linked to projects and KPIs; statuses roll up by themselves.
On the shop floor Mobile companion app for iOS and Android, for cards rather than full boards. Offline use not described. Browser on PC, tablet, phone and TV. No native app and no offline mode.
Interface languages 11, Brazilian Portuguese and Czech in beta. 16.
Price Team plan €3,780 per room a year, up to 50 users per room. Enterprise on quote, minimum 10 rooms. Professional services quoted separately. Group from $350 a month, billed annually, starting with a package for up to 10 people and the core modules. Enterprise and Unlimited on quote, with every module.
Getting started Professional services from pilot to enterprise rollout; no implementation time stated. Live in a few weeks, with consultants who have run dozens of rollouts. Single sign-on, ISO 27001.

Which one fits your plant

Stay with iObeya when

  • You run many visual rooms across engineering, projects and operations, and want them all in one freeform board system.
  • You need two-way connectors to Jira, Azure DevOps, SharePoint or SAP.
  • Teams want to draw, move sticky notes and build their own board layouts.
  • You want a native mobile app for cards and push notifications.

TeamGuru fits better when

  • The tier meeting should run itself: agenda, timer, minutes and attendance on record.
  • Escalation must reach a named person at the next tier by email or SMS, and move up on its own if nobody answers in time.
  • A red KPI at Tier 1 should trace to a project and an objective on the X-Matrix, without a separate strategy board.
  • You want a published price for a single team to start with, and a rollout measured in weeks.

What moving looks like

There is no import button for boards. Our consultants rebuild your meeting structure with you: which tiers meet when, what the agenda is, which KPIs sit on each board and who gets an escalation. KPI history comes in through a CSV import or the API. Most plants run the first team within a few weeks.

See meeting management, problem escalation and strategy deployment, compare five more tools in tier meeting software, compared, or book a demo on one of your own meetings from any page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best iObeya alternative for manufacturing?

It depends on why you are looking. If you want the same freeform visual boards, look at other digital whiteboard tools. If you want structured tier meetings, escalation that reaches people and a line from the KPI to the strategy, an operations platform such as TeamGuru fits better. Tervene, Poka, KaiNexus and DigiLEAN are compared in our tier meeting software guide.

Is TeamGuru a digital whiteboard like iObeya?

No. TeamGuru boards are structured: an agenda, an action list, KPI letters and charts. You cannot draw freely or move sticky notes around. In exchange, every action has an owner and a date that the system tracks, and every meeting keeps its history.

Can we move our iObeya boards to TeamGuru?

Not with an import button. Most plants rebuild the meeting structure in TeamGuru with our consultants, which is also a good moment to clean it up. KPI history comes in through a CSV import or the API.

How do the prices compare?

iObeya publishes a Team plan at €3,780 per room a year for up to 50 users per room. TeamGuru publishes the Group plan from $350 a month, billed annually, starting with a package for up to 10 people and the core modules. Larger setups are quoted by both. Checked on October 30, 2026.
