Are your projects complex and need to connect to your sub projects in team-friendly way? Easy to say but hard to do? Not so fast... Read more
Summer is here and it is time to take a break. Easy to say but much harder to disconnect from your day-to-day responsibilities?
Granted, your mounting workload may appear overwhelming, and the increasing demands indicate how indispensable you are. However, here is a little push to motivate you to take your fun and workfree vacation.
The truth be told, a rested mind produces better quality work. When you don't rest, you will most likely become unproductive! A situation you definitely do not want. Time to recharge is an essential part of being a productive member of your team.
Need a few tips on how to start off and enjoy your vacation time?
1. Delegate. Take a leap forward and delegate your responsibilities. You will be surprised what talent you might discover in your hood. Are you using the power and full potential of the Skill Matrix in your company? Which employee is a step away from being a leader or has the right skills for your project to be done?
2. Designate Responsibles. Set up actions for your team and appoint the responsible team members. TeamGuru will help you to track activities with automatic email notifications - data entry reminders, performance status, progress and comments, and more...
3. Empower your Team. Give your team the tools that will support their success and trust them to deliver. As a leader, you are setting the standards. Learn continuously how to relax and show them that taking the time off to recharge is an investment.
4. Unplug. You are not doing any favor to yourself, your family, or getting any good quality work done when you are constantly checking your phone. Schedule a time in your day that will be designated to checking important emails. Prioritize, focusing on small issues is fruitless.
Care to relax and have some fun now?
Here is one of my personal tips for a good read. Everyone "knows" that sleep is important, but do you REALLY know?
Bill Gates does. “Why We Sleep is an important and fascinating book…Walker taught me a lot about this basic activity that every person on Earth needs. I suspect his book will do the same for you.” —Bill Gates.
